Here are two types of cable signal tests: one for general products and another for special products. Ports of the former have standard test specifications available including USB, HDMI, DP, MHL and their flaws and issues are easy to identify during debugging. The special cable signal tests are aimed at custom requirements of non-standard ports. Signal transmission of PCBs and buses within products may not be designed according to the recommendations given in the Chipset Specifications due to spatial and mechanical limitations including V By One, LVDS, eDP, PCIe, and SATA. These are critical to product reliability and quality.
