iST was honored to host the international student summer camp from National Chengchi University. This event, themed “Geopolitical and Supply Chain Issues in the Semiconductor Industry,” provided us with a valuable opportunity to showcase our company’s strengths and share industry insights.
We began by introducing the students to the history and development of iST. iST has always been dedicated to the research and application of semiconductor testing and verification technologies, providing high-quality services to clients worldwide. As technology continues to advance, the semiconductor industry’s importance in the global economy has grown, becoming a crucial pillar for technological competition and economic development in various countries.
Next, we delved into the geopolitical context of the semiconductor industry. Today, semiconductor technology is not just a commercial resource but also a strategic one. The demand and competition for advanced processes and high-end chips among governments have increasingly imbued the semiconductor industry with geopolitical significance. This is especially true amidst escalating trade tensions between the U.S. and China, where semiconductors have become a focal point of contention. We shared our insights on this trend, emphasizing the importance of finding a balance between technological innovation and international cooperation.
In addition to theoretical discussions, we also arranged a site tour. The students visited our advanced laboratories and witnessed firsthand the operation of various testing and verification equipment. Our professional engineers provided detailed explanations of each stage, from chip design and manufacturing to testing, showcasing the efforts we put into maintaining high precision and meeting stringent technical requirements. This not only helped the students understand the high technical demands of semiconductor products but also allowed them to experience the allure of technological innovation.
We firmly believe that this visit was a valuable learning opportunity for the students. In the context of globalization, the geopolitical challenges and supply chain risks facing the semiconductor industry require our collective efforts to address. iST will continue to focus on technological innovation and international cooperation, contributing to the advancement of the semiconductor industry.
