Turning your passion into your profession is the best thing!
iST has once again partnered with the Tamkang University Center for Science Education for their program “Chemistry on the Go” and embarked on a campus visit. This time, we left Hsinchu and arrived at Nanhe Junior High School in Tongxiao, Miaoli county. Here, we prepared three captivating chemistry games for the students.
The students completed one experiment after another with amazement, taking great care to protect the results of their experiments. These novel and fascinating chemistry insights greatly excited the students.
Among the iST volunteers who participated in this event was a local resident from Miaoli county. At the conclusion of the event, he enthusiastically shared his journey from education to employment and the various career transitions he underwent. He emphasized that even though he wasn’t the most academically accomplished student and didn’t consistently achieve top grades, he maintained the confidence to turn his most passionate interests into his favorite professional pursuits. He demonstrated that having confidence in oneself and believing in one’s abilities can pave a unique path to a personally fulfilling career.

About “Chemistry on the Go”：
“Science Popularization: Chemistry on the Go” is a chemistry education promotion service organized by the Tamkang University Center for Science Education. It’s supported from the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, Chemical Society, and the industry. The tour is conducted using two modified vehicles, the “Mobile Chemistry Truck” and the “Running analysis truck,” combined to form the “Chemistry Fleet.” These vehicles are loaded with stories, performances, and experimental equipment, and travel to various locations to spread the spirit of chemistry research across the country.
