【Academic Visit】NTHU Materials Camp -Adding Another Piece to the Blueprint for Future Careers

With numerous university departments available, what exactly does the department of materials study? What kind of work awaits after graduation?

After becoming a senior high school student, most of people find themselves uncertain and confused when deciding on an academic department. They aspire to enter the field of materials but they are unsure of what the industry is doing. What will future career look like?

Today, led by NTHU materials camp, their future junior students stepped into iST, a “medical center” in the electronic industry, to listen to professional lecturer share the career paths after graduation from the department of materials. They also had the opportunity to visit the industrial laboratories.

Making the most of this valuable opportunity, the lecturer guided the students to have a hands-on experience in operating the material equipment. Students inevitably felt nervous when they were about to operate equipment that costs as much as a house, but they also felt excited and eager to give it a try. During each visit, they also had another fun activity, which was to look for the legendary ”green pack of kuaikuai ” in the tech industry. Guess how many they finally found?

Although the visit to iST only took a small part of the five-day camp for the students, we hope that through this opportunity of visiting, the students can add another piece to the blueprint for their future careers.
