Hsinchu, Taiwan, R.O.C. September 10, 2024 – iST (TWSE:3289), an IC analysis and verification lab of electronic industry, today announced its net revenues on a consolidated basis. The consolidated revenue for August 2024 reached approximately NT$400 million, an increase of 28.93% from the previous month and an increase of 25.80% compared to the same period last year, marking a record high in history. Cumulative revenue for January- August reached 2.833 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 9.70%.
iST announced that its revenue for the month has surpassed the 400 million mark, setting a new record. Two key drivers were cited: first, a surge in AI-related orders from international tech giants, significantly contributing to the company’s revenue; and second, the success of its expansion plan, which has boosted production capacity.
iST further explained that it recently secured orders for Reliability Assurance (RA) and Failure Analysis (FA) from major global manufacturers of high-performance processor chips in the AI sector, generating profits since August. Additionally, iST’s subsidiary, Prosperity Power Technology Inc. (ProPowertek), received substantial AI-related orders for power component wafer thinning, further driving the company’s overall growth.
The company also highlighted the completion of its expansion at the Taiyuan Hi-Tech Industrial Park, where two new plants have been established. The integration of new equipment has enhanced iST’s capabilities in providing comprehensive Failure Analysis (FA) and Material Analysis (MA) solutions, offering more localized services to meet client demands. The newly established iST Zhongxing Building will further expand capacity in Reliability Assurance (RA), injecting fresh momentum into the company’s future growth and strengthening its competitive edge in the market.
In the rapidly growing space industry, iST is positioning itself to seize new opportunities. With the advent of the new space era and the rapid development of low-earth orbit satellite technology, there has been a significant increase in the demand for commercial testing and verification. To support domestic and international manufacturers entering this field, iST has established a space environment testing laboratory. Slated to open in October, the lab will provide a one-stop solution for critical tests such as vibration, shock, thermal vacuum, and radiation required for ground-to-space operations.
iST has been active in space-related endeavors since 2020, when it joined the Taiwan Space Radiation Environment Testing Alliance at the invitation of the Taiwan Space Agency (TASA). Together with the alliance, iST completed the first radiation tests for Taiwanese image sensor and memory module manufacturers in 2021.
After years of effort, iST has successfully completed dozens of radiation testing projects through the existing Radiation Testing Alliance, covering components such as analog, digital, memory, and RF.
iST has completed radiation tests for various electronic components, including analog, digital, memory, RF and power devices.
Moving forward, iST will continue to invest in other space environment testing areas like vibration, shock, and thermal vacuum. The newly established space environment testing lab is expected to open next month (October), significantly increasing the number of space-related testing projects in Asia. This will allow satellite manufacturers to conduct localized testing and verification services, enabling them to focus more on product design and manufacturing, thus accelerating the development of the space industry in Taiwan and across Asia.
