iST March 2024 Revenue Report Setting a New Record High

Hsinchu, Taiwan, R.O.C. April 10, 2024 – iST (TWSE:3289), an IC analysis and verification lab of electronic industry, today announced its net revenues on a consolidated basis. The consolidated revenue for March 2024 reached approximately NT$389 million, an increase of 26.11% from the previous month and 23.76% from the same period last year, thus setting a new record high once again. The accumulated revenue for January to March amounted to NT$ 1.069 billion , reflecting a year-on-year increase of 8.96%. Additionally, quarterly revenue also achieved a record high for the quarter.

iST stated that both the monthly revenue and first-quarter revenue hit record highs, with first-quarter revenue surpassing the NT$1 billion milestone. This achievement is attributed not only to the demand for material analysis (MA), failure analysis (FA), and reliability assurance (RA) driven by advanced processes, advanced packaging, automotive electronics, 5G, and other fields but also to the boost from international orders related to AI servers and HPC high-speed computing.

iST further pointed out that they have been involved since the R&D and validation stages before customer mass production. Through close collaboration with major international clients, iST has developed AI high-speed verification solutions. These solutions address various issues encountered during the development of AI servers, providing customers with comprehensive one-stop solutions.

Additionally, iST is honored to announce today (April 10), that we have officially obtained authorization from the USB Implementers Forum, Inc. (USB-IF) to become a USB Power Delivery (PD) Independent Test Lab. This designation enables us to assist clients in verifying whether their products can correctly transmit and receive power, ensuring compliance with the latest USB-IF Power Delivery 3.1 technical standards and specifications, and obtaining the corresponding logo certification.

This marks a significant breakthrough for iST in the field of electronic product certification, demonstrating our ability to provide high-quality testing services that comply with the latest international standards.

The European Union is expected to announce by the end of 2024 that USB Type-C must be used as the single charging port for 13 categories of electronic products, including mobile phones, tablets, laptops, digital cameras, headphones and charging cases, handheld gaming devices, portable speakers, e-readers, keyboards, computer mice, portable navigation devices, and wearable devices. This measure aims to promote product interoperability, reduce electronic waste, and bring greater convenience to consumers.

As an officially Authorized Independent Test Lab, iST is now able to provide testing services in accordance with the IEC 62680-1-2:2021 international standard specifications for the aforementioned 13 categories of products. IEC 62680-1-2:2021 specifies the use of USB Power Delivery to ensure that the charging performance and safety of products meet the highest international standards.
