iST (TWSE:3289), an IC analysis and verification lab of electronic industry, today (September 8, 2023) announced its net revenues on a consolidated basis, revenues for August 2023 were approximately NT$318 million, reflecting an increase of 2.63% MoM and a decrease of 2.52% YoY respectively. The cumulative revenue from January to August reached NT$2.582 billion, with a YoY growth of 6.11%.
iST pointed out that the current AI (Artificial Intelligence) craze is sweeping the globe, bringing increased attention to the prospects of advanced packaging market; advanced packaging technology primarily adopts a 3D array structures to achieve size reduction and performance enhancement. However, the materials used in advanced packaging technology are diverse, and most of them are related to “heat”, especially in the fields of AI and High-Performance Computing (HPC), where high temperatures are easily generated. Therefore, effectively dissipating heat to ensure product reliability has been a recent goal actively pursued by major manufacturers.
Furthermore, in the consumer market, despite the current temporary economic challenges, iST observes that leading chip manufacturers continue uninterrupted research and development, integrating AI functionality into handheld products. In the long term, this trend will further boost demand for subsequent validation and analysis.
