iST(TWSE:3289), an IC analysis and verification lab of semiconductor industry, today (July 08, 2022) announced its net revenues on a consolidated basis, revenues for June 2022 were approximately NT$317 million, an increase of 32.56% from the same period in 2021, and 2.67% increase from last month, which set a monthly Top 1 record ever(Note 1); Moreover, revenue for the first half of year is NT$1786 million, an increase of 17.45% from last year.
iST said, revenue of June delivered a brilliant result, owing to the success of the operation strategy, including the growing demands of verification analysis, such as automotive electronics, advanced process, advanced packaging, HPC and cloud data center market which drove iST group’s consolidated revenue of May and June to break another record .
In spite of the market takes a conservative look of the electronic industry of H2, the business field of iST is more related to the new opening R&D projects instead of the single product sales number. iST observed, the amount of R&D opening and revision projects maintain in a certain level and shows no recession, which explains why iST stands apart in the semiconductor industry while many are revising guidance down.
Where there is a demand for research and development, there will be corresponding requirement for verification to ensure the quality.
iST further inferred, looking to the second half year, the quantity of testing cases still maintains in a high level, thus, this will be the driving momentum for iST’s future business.
Note 1: Since December 2019, iST Taiwan has signed a SPA to transfer iST Shanghai to Chinasti. Hence, for a more accurate comparison, the record excludes revenues of iST Shanghai.
