iST(TWSE:3289) today (May 8, 2020) announced its net revenues on a consolidated basis, the revenues of April 2020 were approximately NTD$ 244 million, which decreased 8.89% of MoM and an increase of 28.67% compared to revenues of April 2019, NTD$ 189 million.
As the United States and many countries in Europe have been put on lock-down to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, thus, a decline in production and longer delivery situation have been found among many semiconductor manufacturers. However, the epidemic in Taiwan is relatively under control, as a result, semiconductor suppliers in Taiwan become better choices for global customers.
Although the confrontation has re-escalated in the face of a looming trade war between the United States and China recently may have an impact on Taiwan’s semiconductor industry in the short term, as the de-Americanization policy promotes in China, the IC design houses and semiconductor manufacturers in Taiwan continuously to research and development.
