iST(TWSE:3289) today (February 10, 2020) announced its net revenues on a consolidated basis, the revenues of January 2020 were approximately NTD$220 million, which decreased 19.16% of MoM and sharply increased 45.33% YoY, respectively.
iST said, even though the number of working days in January fell sharply due to the Lunar New Year holiday, the verification orders from 5G, advanced manufacturing processes and advanced packaging were still at peak and has leaded the revenues YoY sharply increased 45.33%.
As for the outbreak of the 2019-nCoV, Wuhan Pneumonia), iST said that it is operating normally and has not been affected by the outbreak.
iST further pointed, its services are mainly for the verification at the R&D phase. As long as the customers continue to promote the R&D of advanced technologies, there will be the demand for verification and analysis services. Estimating from the current number of customer orders, although the 5G smartphone may be delayed due to 2019-nCoV outbreak, the advanced verification and development for IC are still ongoing, which brings favorable conditions for iST’s operation and the visibility on current orders is expected through the second quarter.
Look forward to the future, iST expects that the gross margin will gradually increase every quarter and the debt ratio will continue to decline.
