On iST’s 25th anniversary, it has been awarded the 5th mittelstand prize by the Industrial Development bureau of the Ministry of Economy Affairs (MOEA) Taiwan at the end of October. Professional jury recognized iST as the first enterprise to establish semiconductor verification and analysis In Taiwan, with its key technical service mode.
Mainly referred to the definition of the German invisible champion, the mittelstand award is set under the promotion program of leaping enterprises approved by the Ministry of Economy Affairs Taiwan, and is established to encourage enterprises with unique technology and key competitiveness in the international market.
iST, a laboratory for verification and tests of electronic industry. Founded in 1994 by raising funds of NTD$ 10 million in the initial stage of Asia’s semiconductor industry, and began its business from IC circuit edit (FIB). Aim to solve customer’s pain by assisting IC debugging, analysis and quality assurance. iST plays a R&D partner for customers to speed-up the time to market.
The evaluation committee pointed, iST is equipped with IC circuit debugging and editing, failure analysis, reliability verification and so on. The FIB circuit editing technology iST introduced 25 years ago, had changed the existing verification model in the entire IC design industry and helping customers significantly shorten the time to market.
Danny Yu, the founder of iST and the present president said, “It is a great honor to be awarded the mittelstand prize. This is a result of the efforts of all employees and the team day and night, all the glory to the team.
Danny Yu further said, “The mittelstand award represents not only the past achievements of iST, but a reminder to us that no matter how difficult environment it is, iST will continue to create value for customers to provide a more complete solution.”
