iST October 2017 Revenue Report

Issued Date: 2017/11/10
Issued By: iST

iST(TWSE:3289) today (November 10, 2017) announced its net revenues on a consolidated basis, the revenues for October 2017 were approximately NT$250 million. Year over year, the consolidated revenue increased 33.82%, and increased 1.75% compared to previous month, which has reached the second highest level on monthly record.

iST indicated, since the relocation has been completed successfully in October, the order-delay impact resulted from relocation process has been gradually improved, which has pushed revenues to a second record high.
iST further pointed, to best assist electronics manufacturers in entering into supply chain of international carmakers, iST has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with DEKRA iST and America’s leading reliability designer DfR Solution (DfR). Jointly these three parties start offering combined reliability design and verification services over automotive electronics and advanced electronics applications of next generation for customers in East Asia, effective from today.
DfR has been leading the reliability design industry since its foundation in 2005. This is especially the case in unmanned vehicles, electric cars, and cutting edge products which mandate rigorous custom reliability design witnessed by its long-term customer base including Boeing, Tesla, Nvidia, GE, GM and so on.
iST found electronic product manufacturers in East Asia are being blocked out of the supply chain of next generation electronic product application, unmanned vehicles, ADAS, AI, and smart appliance to name a few, due to failure in reliability verification.

In addition, the cutting edge electronic product application requires supply chain manufacturers to evolve from the “Design for Function Concept” for consumer chip into the quality level cored “Design for Reliability”. As unmanned pilot, aviation, and AI is concerned, “Custom Reliability Test Program” is mandated in finding product design weakness and ensuring product quality instead of relying on generic international reliability specification alone. As the Custom Reliability Test Program is DfR’s strength, this tripartite agreement is expected to create a new era for business among iST, DEKRA iST and DfR in the cutting edge electronic product application.
