iST(TWSE:3289) today (Nov 10, 2016) announced its net revenues on a consolidated basis, revenues for October 2016 were approximately NT$187 million. Year over year, the consolidated revenue increased 15.34% and decreased 7.21% from the previous month. For the ten months ended in Octorber, the total revenues of iST increased 16.02 YOY.
iST said, due to the reduced number of working days coincided with the China national holiday and gradually into the off-season, the revenues this month fell from the prior month. However, the testing demand this year continuously extends, as a result, the revenues this month still increased compared to the same period in 2015.
In mainland China, iST has signed a formal cooperation agreement with FAW Second Tier Management Company, an affiliated enterprise of FAW Group (The First Automotive Works) to open a quality management of the auto after-sales service in the end of October.
In Taiwan, as the global branding companies are getting stricter about the smart products’ quality, as well as the preparation of mobile supply chain for the next-generation products. In addition, the continuous development of the advanced processing technology also pushes up demand for Material analysis (MA).
iST furthered said, to cope with the strong demands of verification market. In this month, iST has extended its business model by spending NT$356 million on a plant building space about 20,000 square meters in Hsinchu science park to meet the capacity requirement of automotive inspection, advanced processing technology and IoT verification in next five to ten years.
