iST(TWSE:3289) today (Aug 10, 2016) announced its net revenues on a consolidated basis, revenues for July 2016 were approximately NT$195 million. Year over year, the consolidated revenue increased 4.74 %, and a decrease of 11.81 % from June 2016 (the revenues in June have set a new highest monthly record). For the first seven months in 2016, the total revenues of iST increased 17.95 % YOY.
iST observed, the continuous growth of the verification market in cross-strait has resulted from the following two reasons.
First, along with the acceleration of the Chinese nationalization progress in chip and RAM; in 2016 and 2017, half of the new fabs in the world will be built in China. Besides, more than 20 Chinese chip companies such as SMIC, Huawei recently launched “the alliance of China high-end IC”, the development of China IC industry seems to have taken shape, which repeatedly shows the big era of China IC nationalization is about to open and speed up the demands of verification and certification.
Second, in terms of Taiwan, along with the increase in capital spending of foundries, and the acceleration of R&D moving to 10nm, 7nm and 5nm process; the expansion of electronic products, that is the semiconductor industry gradually turns toward the IoT, automotive electronics, medical electronics, which is boosting demands of the overall verification and analysis market.
iSt pointed, to cope with the strong demands, iST will keep equipping and expanding its footholds.
