Issued Date: 2015/3/10
Issued By: iST

iST(TWSE:3289) today (Mar 10, 2015) announced its net revenues on a consolidated basis, the revenues for February 2015 were approximately NT$149 million. Month over month, the consolidated revenue slightly decreased 10.42%, and a sharp 21.84 % increase from the same period of 2014, which set a highest standard of February in the history.

iST said, despite the nearly two weeks of vacation coincided with the Lunar New Year and the 228 Peace Memorial day, the revenue in February only had a small contraction compared to the previous month. However, compared to the same period last year, it jumped sharply of 21.84%, which implies iST’s strategy on the expansion of human resource and equipment in Q4 2014 has built a solid beachhead and played a part in the revenue of February.

iST indicated, the strategic arrangement will go to no end since the automotive market has been moving to the electric cars and the Internet of Vehicles(IoV). As the tier 1 car manufacturers have been seeking to partner with the Taiwan suppliers, iST HQ Taiwan announced its expansion of the automotive testing service from “IC” to “module”, and built the “Temperature and Humidity Combined Vibration equipment “ for the reliability testing environment.

This move can provide local service to the Taiwan’s electronics industry, combining with the automotive testing energy in iST Kunshan which can make the iST group ‘s automotive testing service in cross-straits more complete.

By collaborating with the international Tier 1 manufacturers in recent years, iST scented a turning point where the Taiwan’s electronics industry can get into the automotive market. As electric cars and the Internet of Vehicles(IoV) are getting popular, demands for driving information integration systems, including functions of navigation, Bluetooth communication, back up displays, tire pressure sensors (TPS), radar detection, and LED car lights.

New features are bound to need a new supply chain. These demands are exactly right to be the existing advantages possessed by Taiwan’s electronic brands and tier 1 car manufacturers are seeking to partner with them, the former are blessed with the opportunities entering the car electronics market.

To help the tier 1 car manufacturers to partner with the supplier chains in Taiwan and meet these demands by the customers, iST has built a “Temperature and Humidity Combined Vibration” testing environment for car modules quality, expecting to assist the Taiwan companies to edge in the tier 1 car manufacturers’ supply chain.
