iST February 2014 Revenue Report

iST (TWSE:3289) today (March 10, 2014) announced its net revenues for February 2014: On a consolidated basis, revenues for February 2014 were approximately NT$122 million, a slight decrease of 3.62% from January and a sharp increase of 22.60% compared to the same period in 2013, which set a new record number of February.

Selina Lin , CFO& Spokesperson of the iST Group mentioned an obvious increase of 22.60% compared to the same period in 2013 on account of the continuing growth of cross-platform system, including automotive verification and MEMS smart phone test.

Selina Lin further pointed out that iST started engaging in the research and development of automotive verification from a long time ago. And for these two years, the proportion of Automotive verification in iST revenues has been increasing sharply, the main reason is the application of automotive electronics has been rising from 13% up to 40% reflected in the total cost of OEMs. Hence, many Taiwan’s IC design houses start launching into automotive electronic market which makes great demands on the reliability test.

In 2014, the range of iST’s automotive electronic customers has been expanded from Taiwan’s IC design houses to the discrete components, passive components and automotive module companies in China, Taiwan, Europe and USA. In addition to reliability test, but also to reach out on counseling and application for ISO/TS16949, iST providing customers with one-stop solution via the integrated chain with iST-China.
