Let’s Make Chinese New Year a Warm Memory for Kids

Besides the new outfits, family reunion dinner is the most expected part during the Chinese New Year. Unfortunately, “Nearly 40% children from the remote area only have canned food, instant noodle and big-pot rice for the New Year dinner, which is nothing special as usual. Their wishes for New Year are very simple, ’enough food and clothes, and family stay together.’ ”

After giving away presents to unprivileged children by claiming their wish cards, Danny Yu, the president of iST, has donated NT$300,000 on behalf of iST to respond the “New Year’s dinner collection” held by Hi-Life convenience store, collaborating with Child Welfare League Foundation, Children Are Us Foundation and Down Syndrome Foundation to help unprivileged kids to have a hearty Chinese New Year dinner.

What makes us surprised is the number of New Year dinners arranged by Hi-Life convenience store was 475 just exactly as iST’s staffs number. We are grateful to have a peaceful year 2015 and wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the people in need.

iST take vicarious pride in doing something for the kids, and hope this could make Chinese New Year a warm memory for them.
