iST hold a donation on Apr. 15- Apr. 17 to support the “Taiwan Fund for children and families(TFCF)”, which provides help to the disadvantaged families in the remote counties. We are grateful that only three days we have raised 20 boxes of books and clothes from iSTers.
Director of the TFCF, Mr. Shen said, even though Hsinchu city is richer than other counties in Taiwan, there are still a lot of vulnerable families living a hard life without enough clothes to change.
Education is one of the best ways to help kids from the poor families out of poverty. However, the lack of appropriate children books makes those children difficult in literacy.
Mr. Shen further said, the clothes and books that iSTers donated will be send to the aid-receiving families and sheltered workshops; while the books will be deliver to the remote places for exchanging between different elementary schools.
What iST did is just a small step and we will keep helping the organizations in need of attention. iSTers are sincerely inviting you to join us. Together let’s make the world a better place to live in.
