iST (TWSE:3289) today announced consolidated revenue of NT$1.63 billion, net income of NT$ 88 million, and EPS of NT$ 1.98 for the annual ended December 31, 2013.
Year-over-year, consolidated revenue increased 8.48% while net income and EPS increased 16.48% and 59.68%, respectively. Besides, the net income of fourth quarter is NT$ 47 million, and the EPS is NT$ 1.06, compared to third quarter of 2013 results represent a 791.74% increase in revenue, and an sharp increase of 466.95% from the same period of 2012.
iST Group said, “Gross margin of fourth quarter in 2013 on a consolidated basis is 38%, which increased 12% than gross margin of third quarter in 2013 (34%). The main reason is the harvest of service items with better profits and the proper control of cost, which started emitting its effect from fourth quarter of 2013.”
iST Group further pointed out that, the reason why the net income and EPS of 2013 are higher than the previous year’s by 16.48% and 59.68% respectively is because the performance of fourth quarter of 2013 returned to the normal conditions. To adapt the market strategies, cover the greater demand of international brand companies’ suppliers, and provide a better service. iST will continue expanding the capacity of equipment in both Taiwan, China and USA’s laboratories this year.
For the outlook of 2014, iST longs for keeping the standard of fourth quarter of 2013, and takes an optimistic view of the future sales.
