iST September 2016 Revenue Report

iST(TWSE:3289) today (Oct 7, 2016) announced its net revenues on a consolidated basis, revenues for September 2016 were approximately NT$201 million. Year over year, the consolidated revenue increased 16.49% and increased 2.46% from the previous month. For the nine months ended in September, the total revenues of iST increased 16.09% YOY.

iST indicated, to cope with the coming of 5G and IoT, an leap into the mainland China testing market of compulsory certification and regulations. iST has signed the share subscription agreement with BTL Inc., and iST will spend NTD$ 180 million to obtain 21% stock right of BTL at NTD$ 45 per share.

Established in 1986, BTL entered in the South China Region in 2001. BTL began its business from communication base stations test and gradually expanded its scope of operations, including RF, SAR, Telecom, safety and International Approval,etc. BTL has developed China market for a long time, and it is the first Taiwan-funded enterprise who obtained the certification of CMA (China Metrology Accreditation).

In addition, with its years of effort in mainland, BTL has built a deep partnership with many branding companies, including Huawei, OPPO, Xiaomi and Lenovo, and become the appointed laboratory of compulsory certification and regulations.

iST furthered said, with the rich experiences of IT compulsory certification and regulations in China, BTL will not only complete more iST’s signal integrity testing strategy, but assist iST in reaching China smart phone brand manufacturers and providing full services to the supply chain of IT products in China.
