iST January 2016 Revenue Report

iST(TWSE:3289) today (Feb. 15, 2016) announced its net revenues on a consolidated basis, the revenues for January 2016 were approximately NT$184 million. Month over month, the consolidated revenue increased 1.07%, and increased sharply 10.96% year over year, which still set the third highest monthly record.

The January revenues of iST maintained in a high level resulted from the flourishing requirement of the smart products verification and the material analysis, as well as the increasing amount of the reliability assurance and the failure analysis cases of iST’s subsidiaries in China. As a result, the sales of iST group still performed wonderfully despite of the slack season.

iST takes advantage of IoV (Internet of Vehicle) and IoT (Internet of Things) markets and gives a buoyant outlook of the whole group’s revenues. iST indicated, due to the explosion of semiconductor application in automotive fields, the IC suppliers cross-strait have entered into the market aggressively. iST has established a joint venture– “DEKRA iST” with DEKRA, the biggest vehicle safety verification and certification organization in the world, which can penetrate into the branding automotive market and carry out the verification of automotive capacity of iST.

After being licensed by Simplay Labs at its HDMI®2.0/HDCP2.2 ATC lab in Taiwan in 2014, iST has helped just shy of a hundred Taiwanese manufacturers of products including IC chips, module developers, cable, connector, and AV system brand owners to get their products tested. iST also assisted leading TV/Set-top box/ Large outdoor display board /E-sport display card/ Medical display brands from Taiwan, Japan, and Turkey in acquiring the HDMI certification logo.

While in the wireless test, iST has got ready for it since the beginning of 2016, that it has launched its over-the-air (OTA) wireless signal testing lab in Taipei, which recently certified by TAF (Taiwan Accreditation Foundation) specific to the quality management system certification of ISO17025. Meanwhile, iST also got approval for being one of the CTIA Authorized Test Labs from CTIA (Cellular Telephone Industries Association), the OTA standards setup institution.
